In March 2022, at the resumed fifth session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-5.2), a historic resolution was adopted to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment. The 29th Session of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) Assembly and Council (Part II) will include the meetings of the ISA Council and Assembly, the Council will meet from 15-26 July 2024, and the Assembly will convene from 29 July to 2 August 2024. |
