    Lewotobi is a twin volcano located in the southeastern part of the island of Flores, Indonesia, it has two peaks; the Lewotobi Laki-laki (Male Lewotobi) and Lewotobi Perempuan (Female Lewotobi) stratovolcanoes, the more active Lewotobi Laki-laki is about 2.1 km northwest of the taller Lewotobi Perempuan.

  • Biomass : ESA’s forest mission

    Biomass is an Earth observing satellite planned for launch by the European Space Agency (ESA) on 29 April 2025 from Kourou, French Guiana on a Vega C launch vehicle, the mission will provide the first comprehensive measurements of global forest biomass.

  • Neerstorten van de Birchgletsjer bij Blatten

    Op 28 mei 2025 werd Blatten, een gemeente en plaats in het Lötschental aan de oevers van Lonza, in het Zwitserse kanton Wallis, samen met de omliggende dalbodem voor 90% bedolven, door een ijs- en steenlawine van 3 miljoen kubieke meter, en nadien ontstond op de dalbodem stroomopwaarts een natuurlijk stuwmeer dat daar overgebleven huizen overstroomde.
