The Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission is a satellite altimeter jointly developed and operated by NASA and CNES, the French space agency, in partnership with the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) and UK Space Agency (UKSA).
Fagradalsfjallvulkaan – uitbarsting / Fagradalsfjall volcanic area – eruption 2023/2024
Op 10 juli 2023 begon opnieuw een eruptie op het IJslandse schiereiland Reykjanes, nabij Fagradalsfjall (vertaald uit het IJslands: Mooievallei-berg) en Geldingadalir (dal).
Lewotobi Laki-laki – eruption 2024
An eruption is ongoing since 23 December 2023 in Lewotobi, twin volcano (Lewotobi Laki-laki (Male Lewotobi) and Lewotobi Perempuan (Female Lewotobi) stratovolcanoes) located in the southeastern part of the island of Flores, Indonesia, displacing up to 6,500 people as of January 2024.
