As we mark this milestone, we spotlight the past three decades of the brand that has helped to promote Jamaican music culture and its global impact. We reflect on the global significance of Reggae music as a powerful soundtrack of resistance and a messenger of love and unity, resonating deeply with people around the world. IRD was born from this profound connection, inspired by Winnie Mandela’s moving address to Jamaican women during her official visit to Jamaica with her husband Nelson after his release.
