Every year, 15th May marks International Conscientious Objection Day (CO day) – a day to celebrate those who have, and those who continue, to resist war, especially by refusing to be part of military structures.

In 2024, on the occasion of International CO day, on 15th May, War Resisters’ International is launching the international action #RefuseWar to support worldwide the refusal of war and the right to conscientious objection. This action is broadening their #ObjectWarCampaign that was launched after the start of the war in Ukraine to call for support and protection for conscientious objectors, deserters, and war resisters from Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine.
