Ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) will officially launch its annual Adaptation Gap Report during an online press conference on 7 November 2024.

UNEP’s Adaptation Gap Report series provides a science-based assessment of the global progress on adaptation planning, financing, and implementation. It also explores options for enhancing and advancing national and global adaptation efforts and provides analysis of selected issues of interest. The 2024 edition provides a more in-depth assessment of technology transfer and capacity building, as part of the Means of Implementation theme.
