Gemeente Amsterdam, maar ook Nederland en Europa, moeten digitaal onafhankelijker worden.
Amsterdammers vertrouwen dagelijks op digitale diensten van grote buitenlandse techbedrijven. Van navigatie tot het doen van online betalingen of het vinden van geschikte zorg. Dat is handig, maar de afhankelijkheid van Amerikaanse bedrijven brengt ook serieuze risico’s met zich mee, zoals voor de toegang tot Amsterdamse data en de continuïteit van dienstverlening. Het Amsterdamse college van B en W vindt dan ook dat Amsterdam, maar ook Nederland en Europa digitaal onafhankelijker moeten worden. Daarom heeft het college een verkenning uitgevoerd om realistische stappen in kaart te brengen richting meer digitale autonomie. Uit deze verkenning wordt duidelijk dat Amsterdam digitaal eigen keuzes wil kunnen blijven maken om de privacy, online veiligheid van en dienstverlening aan Amsterdammers te waarborgen.

Pesticide Action Week is an annual event established in 2006 by the French NGO Générations Futures, held from March 20 to 30, it aims to promote agricultural practices that are safer for both the environment and human health.
These dates are significant, as they align with the arrival of spring and the onset of pesticide spraying in agricultural fields. PAW currently brings together thousands of events organized by hundreds of volunteers such as citizens, elected officials, and civil society organizations, both in France and abroad. These 10 days allow us, thanks to conferences, workshops, panel discussions, and other events of your choice, to raise awareness about the harmful effects of synthetic pesticides and promote existing alternatives. The International Day Against Police Brutality occurs on March 15. It first began in 1997 as an initiative of the Montreal-based Collective Opposed to Police Brutality and the Black Flag group in Switzerland. A march is held yearly in Montreal.
Acceptance of March 15 as a focal day of solidarity against police brutality varies from one place to another. In the United States, the October 22 Coalition to Stop Police Brutality, Repression, and the Criminalization of a Generation, a group mounted by the RCP has succeeded in building support for October 22 (also known as O22) as National Anti Police Brutality Day since 1995.

The IFSB voted to hold such a day in 1953, theorising that if both telepathy and alien life were real, a large number of people focussing on an identical piece of text may be able to transmit the message through space. IFSB members focused on the following message during 1953:
