European Antibiotic Awareness Day (EAAD) provides a platform and support for national campaigns on prudent use of antibiotics.

During the World Antibiotic Awareness Week (WAAW), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) are together calling for responsible use of antibiotics in humans and animals to reduce the emergence of antibiotic resistance.

World COPD Day is organized by the Global Initiative(GOLD) for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (COPD) in collaboration with health care professionals and COPD patient groups throughout the world, its aim is to raise  awareness, share knowledge, and discuss ways to reduce the burden of COPD worldwide.

World Vasectomy Day (WVD) is an annual event to raise global awareness of vasectomy as a male-oriented solution to prevent unintended pregnancies, the goal is for doctors all over the world to perform vasectomies, connected to the event via Skype and social media platforms.
