World Vasectomy Day (WVD) is an annual event to raise global awareness of vasectomy as a male-oriented solution to prevent unintended pregnancies, the goal is for doctors all over the world to perform vasectomies, connected to the event via social media platforms.

Once a single day event to encourage men to consider a vasectomy, today the WVD Project is a year-round program that trains doctors, educates the public, works with institutions and encourages the creative community to tell stories of hope and possibility. The event has since been held annually during the third week of November with rotating headquarters.
