That’s why on September 5, Rise for the Amazon Day is celebrated as a day for people everywhere to come together in solidarity with the Amazon. Rise for the Amazon Day is about more than giving. It’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with Indigenous peoples protecting their lands, with scientists tracking the forest’s health, with farmers choosing sustainable paths, and with wildlife whose future depends on the choices we make today. It’s a reminder that the Amazon belongs to all of us, and protecting it is one of the most powerful gifts we can offer future generations.
