#COP30 United Nations Climate Change Conference Belém – November 2025

The 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference, or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly known as COP30, is the 30th United Nations Climate Change conference, to be held in Belém, Brazil, from 10 to 21 November 2025.
The city’s candidacy was announced by Brazilian president Lula da Silva during his visit to the COP 27, held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, and made official in January 2023. United Nationally determined contributions (NDCs) are central to the Paris Agreement and to achieving its long-term goals. They include each country’s efforts to reduce national emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change. NDCs 3.0, which represent the third round of country contributions, must be progressive and more ambitious than the current NDCs and could be the last chance to put the world on a path towards a global emissions trajectory consistent with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5 °C goal, according to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
