Maar zo bepaalt een handvol bedrijven welk verhaal Nederland te horen krijgt. En dat raakt onze democratie. Het gekke is: de Europese wet (de Digital Services Act) verbiedt dit eigenlijk al. Alleen handhaaft Nederland nauwelijks. Daarom starten we vandaag een burgerinitiatief. Met 40.000 handtekeningen kan de de Tweede Kamer worden gedwongen om dit probleem op tafel te leggen. DESCRIPTION:Spiegeltje\, spiegeltje aan de wand: wie schenkt de meeste suiker van het land? \nEen dagje Efteling staat voor sprookjes\, achtbanen en familieplezier\, maar sinds eind 2024 staat er ook een minder sprookjesachtige attractie op de plattegrond: D’n Dorstlesser. Via dit concept\, een samenwerking met Coca-Cola\, kunnen bezoekers de hele dag onbeperkt suikerhoudende drankjes tappen\, in een park dat grotendeels bestaat uit gezinnen met jonge kinderen. Voor €17 koop je een herbruikbare beker waarmee je de hele openingsdag\, elke 45 minuten opnieuw\, mag bijvullen bij een van de vier taplocaties. Bij realistisch gebruik (vijf tapbeurten cola) zit je al op 65 suikerklontjes: ruim tien keer de strengste WHO-streefwaarde van 25 gram (6 klontjes) vrije suikers per dag. Wie de beker maximaal benut\, komt tot 10 bekers per dag: 130 suikerklontjes\, nog voordat er een hap is gegeten. Er is bij de tap ook water en zijn er suikervrije varianten\, maar daar draait het concept niet om. D’n Dorstlesser wordt gepresenteerd en beleefd als attractie op zich: iets om de hele dag mee bezig te zijn\, niet als een simpel glaasje water erbij. Ook via suikervrije varianten wennen kinderen aan een zoete smaak en aan het idee dat de hele dag door tappen normaal is. Het stimuleert bovendien merkbinding op jonge leeftijd\, ongeacht welke variant er wordt getapt: kinderen die de hele dag tappen\, proeven en mixen\, raken al vroeg vertrouwd met één merk. Foodwatch roept de Efteling op te stoppen met onbeperkte frisdrank via D’n Dorstlesser / Coca-Cola Freestyle\, en de constructie met de “partners in kwaliteit” kritisch tegen het licht te houden. Zij nodigen het park uit om haar eigen ambities uit de Ambitie van Gezond Uit waar te maken. Ook roepen ze andere parken op hun aanbod te toetsen: parken die onbeperkt frisdrank\, ijs of friet aanbieden\, en parken die zich net als de Efteling aan de Ambitie van Gezond Uit hebben verbonden (zoals Toverland\, Walibi Holland en Burgers’ Zoo). DESCRIPTION:Amsterdam wil schone lucht voor de bewoners\, ondernemers en bezoekers van de stad. \nDe lucht is nu nog niet schoon genoeg. Amsterdammers ademen elke dag ongezonde lucht in die vergelijkbaar is met het meeroken van 4 sigaretten per dag (bron: GGD Amsterdam\, 2024). Hierdoor hebben de inwoners van Amsterdam een grotere kans op long-\, hart- en vaatziekten. Bij bijna 18 procent van de kinderen met astma in Amsterdam is luchtvervuiling de oorzaak. En bij mensen van 50 jaar en ouder komt 12 procent van de gevallen van longkanker zelfs door vieze lucht. Door dit alles leven Amsterdammers gemiddeld 11 maanden korter (cijfers 2024). Om de gezondheid van mensen te beschermen\, heeft de Europese Unie wettelijke regels (normen) gemaakt voor de kwaliteit van schone lucht. Daarnaast wordt de klimaatproblematiek steeds dringender en daarom wil de gemeente haar CO₂-uitstoot verminderen. Amsterdam voldoet nu nog niet aan de regels voor luchtkwaliteit die in 2030 gaan gelden. Om daar wel aan te kunnen voldoen en de CO₂-uitstoot te verminderen voor het klimaat\, moeten we maatregelen nemen. Deze maatregelen komen in het Uitvoeringsplan Luchtkwaliteit voor de periode 2027-2030. Waar mogelijk worden ook bestaande maatregelen uitgebreid of verbeterd. DESCRIPTION:De Wet bescherming nationale veiligheid door de inlichtingen- en veiligheidsdiensten (Wbnv) regelt wat de Algemene Inlichtingen- en Veiligheidsdienst (AIVD) en de Militaire Inlichtingen- en Veiligheidsdienst (MIVD) allemaal mogen doen\, de nieuwe wet zorgt ervoor dat deze diensten hun werk sneller en effectiever kunnen uitvoeren\, om nieuwe (of bestaande) dreigingen tegen te gaan. \nDenk hierbij aan aanvallen online om gegevens van de overheid\, bedrijven of personen te stelen\, of de oorlogsdreiging vanuit Rusland. Omdat de diensten met gevoelige gegevens werken\, wordt er toezicht gehouden op hun werk. Ook dat is vernieuwd om beter aan te sluiten op het werk van de diensten. We doen dit natuurlijk met de bedoeling om meer aandacht voor de enorme betekenis van bomen te benadrukken: voor klimaat\, duurzaamheid en biodiversiteit. In de hoop dat jij meedoet\, want de kans dat Nederland met dit beleid zijn klimaatdoelen haalt is nihil. Het klimaatbeleid bevat bijna geen effectieve oplossingen zoals woningisolatie\, een CO2-heffing voor de industrie\, krimp van de luchtvaart en de afschaffing van fossiele subsidies. In plaats daarvan kiest dit kabinet voor onzekere langetermijntechnologieën en verlaagt het zelfs de vliegbelasting. Met de kaartenactie herinneren we premier Jetten eraan dat rechtvaardig klimaatbeleid kan en moet. Hoe meer kaarten\, hoe beter! Met het klimaatbeleid van dit kabinet zijn we in 2040 nog steeds afhankelijk van fossiele energie en daarmee van fossiele landen zoals Rusland en Amerika. Het aandeel energie dat we in 2040 importeren aan olie en gas is minstens de helft tot 63%! Deze feiten staan in de infographic van de Klimaat- en Energieverkenning. The report looks at the current reality not as a collection of isolated incidents or specific harms\, but as part of a comprehensive mechanism of elimination that works to dismantle the conditions for continued Palestinian existence in the West Bank\, while deepening Jewish control and supremacy in an irreversible manner. DESCRIPTION:Five years after changing from opt-in to opt-out consent systems in England and the Netherlands\, the report ‘Five years after introduction of an opt-out consent system for organ donation; lessons learned from England and the Netherlands‘ shows the results of the examination of the impact on donor registrations\, consent rates\, donor numbers\, and reflect on lessons learned. \nOpt-out legislation was implemented in May 2020 in England and July 2020 in the Netherlands. In England\, 44% of the population is now registered; 40% recording an opt-in decision and 4% an opt-out decision. In the Netherlands\, mandated donor registration resulted in the entire adult population having their decision recorded: “Yes\, I want to be a donor” (34%)\, “No objection” (24%)\, or “No\, I don’t want to be a donor” (31%)\, while 11% leave the “Decision to next of kin”. Despite these structural changes\, the consent categories created by opt-out legislation (“deemed” consent in England and “No objection” in the Netherlands) remain challenging in practice\, with fewer than 50% of families agreeing to donation. In England\, the family consent rate declined from 69% to 57% between 2020 and 2025 and the donor numbers remain below pre-pandemic levels. In contrast\, the Netherlands experienced a modest increase in family consent rates and donor numbers compared to the opt-in consent system. Dat was één stapje verwijderd van hun faillissement. En de uiteindelijke val van deze bank wordt gezien als het begin van de financiële crisis in 2008. Mensen geboren voor 2000 zullen dit\, en de gevolgen hiervan\, zich nog zeer levendig kunnen herinneren. Als je meedoet aan deze werelddag dan is het de bedoeling dat jij aan een wildvreemde 2 munten of biljetten geeft en hen vraagt om de helft door te geven aan iemand anders. Free Money Day kun je zien als een sociaal experiment; wat gebeurt er als je geld aanbiedt aan mensen die je niet kent. DESCRIPTION:The State of the Union address\, also known as the State of the European Union or SOTEU\, is the annual speech addressed by the President of the European Commission to the European Parliament plenary session in September. \nThe State of the Union address of the European Union was instituted by the Lisbon Treaty (with the 2010 Framework Agreement on relations between the European Parliament and the European Commission – Annex IV(5))\, in order to make political life of the Union more democratic and transparent than it previously had been. The Framework Agreement thus also foresees that the President of the European Commission sends a letter of intent to the President of the European Parliament and the Presidency of the Council of the European Union that sets out in detail the actions the European Commission intends to take by means of legislation and other initiatives until the end of the following year.
