DESCRIPTION:In the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development adopted in September 2015\, the United Nations recognizes that eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions\, including extreme poverty\, is the greatest global challenge and an indispensable requirement for sustainable development. \nThe Agenda also calls for a spirit of strengthened global solidarity\, focused in particular on the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable. It also acknowledges the role of the diverse private sector\, ranging from micro-enterprises to cooperatives to multinationals\, and that of civil society organizations and philanthropic organizations in the implementation of the new Agenda. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set forth in the Agenda can be grouped into six critical areas: people\, planet\, prosperity\, peace\, and partnership. DESCRIPTION:The Global Citizen Festival is an annual music festival held in Central Park\, started in 2012 and organized by Global Citizen. \nThe festival was founded by Ryan Gall and Hugh Evans. Gall said he was inspired by visiting Austin City Limits and seeing the branding on the stage\, but wanting to replace the corporate branding with branding from charities. Since 2015\, Coldplay lead vocalist Chris Martin has served as the festival’s curator. DESCRIPTION:3FM Serious Request (vaak verkort tot Serious Request) is een geldinzamelingsactie die sinds 2004 jaarlijks georganiseerd wordt in de week voor kerst door de Nederlandse radiozender NPO 3FM. \n\n3FM Serious Request komt dit jaar in actie voor De Nederlandse Brandwonden Stichting. Dat hebben 3FM-dj’s Barend van Deelen\, Sophie Hijlkema en Mart Meijer net bekendgemaakt in een speciale ochtendshow. Vanaf De Markt in ’s-Hertogenbosch\, waar het Glazen Huis vorig jaar stond\, vertrekken ze in een gigantische 3FM-bus\, onderweg naar de nieuwe stad: Arnhem.
