DESCRIPTION:Vroege Vogels is een live-radioprogramma\, tv-programma en online community van BNNVARA over natuur en milieu. \nIn het radioprogramma wordt het gesproken woord omlijst door licht klassieke muziek en salonmuziek. Het radioprogramma werd in 1978 voor het eerst uitgezonden door de VARA en is een van de langst lopende en best beluisterde radioprogramma’s van de publieke omroep. Het wordt elke zondagmorgen uitgezonden tussen 07:00 en 10:00 op NPO Radio 1. De beginmuziek is een bewerking van Vivaldi’s “Piccolo Concerto in C major” (RV 443). \nBosbranden\, droogte en extreem lage rivierwaterstanden: Klimaatverandering is een bloedserieus thema. Dat ziet ook minister van Klimaat en Groene Groei Stientje van Veldhoven\, maar worden de klimaatdoelen wel gehaald? Achter namen als vuurwants\, groene stinkwants en bedwants schuilt een verrassend rijke en kleurrijke wereld. We spreken we met entomoloog Berend Aukema over zijn nieuwe Veldgids Wantsen. In 2009 woedde in de Schoorlse duinen een grote brand. Om te zien hoe dit duingebied zich na deze ramp heeft herstelt gaan we op pad met boswachter Jeroen Pater van Staatsbosbeheer. Verder in de uitzending: egelles\, Brabara Gravendeel van de Hortus Botanicus Leiden\, een nieuw aquatisch fossiel\, motmuggen en de soundscape van Europa deel II. De column is van Hans Sibbel. DESCRIPTION:This first World Lake Day\, let’s be aware of the problem lakes are facing; let’s protect them today for a sustaining life tomorrow. \nLakes are one of the most vital natural resources on our planet. They serve as a crucial source of fresh water\, supporting drinking water supplies\, agriculture\, and industry. Lakes also play a key role in maintaining biodiversity\, offering a habitat for countless species of fish\, plants\, and wildlife. Beyond their ecological significance\, lakes contribute to climate regulation by keeping the planet cool\, absorbing the floodwater and storing carbon. Additionally\, they provide recreational and economic opportunities\, attracting tourism\, fishing\, and other activities that support local communities. But lakes are affected by a combination of overuse\, pollution and climate change. Lake pollution is frequently caused by inflows from fertilizers\, contaminants and solid waste being dumped directly\, or flushed into lakes via rivers\, and this is worsened by global warming – leading\, for instance\, to more frequent and intense floods. The water levels of lakes are also changing dramatically.
