Er zijn 17 doelstellingen en 169 onderliggende targets om deze doelen te operationaliseren. De lidstaten moeten zelf zorgen voor vertaling in nationaal beleid. DESCRIPTION:Plastic heeft een verwoestende uitwerking op de gezondheid van gemeenschappen over de hele wereld; het doodt schildpadden\, zeevogels en andere dieren. \nPlasticvervuiling is overal. Van stranden in Zuidoost-Azië tot het afgelegen Antarctica. Greenpeace wil dat overheden afspraken met elkaar maken over hoe we een einde maken aan het plastictijdperk. Plasticvervuiling is een wereldwijd probleem dat schreeuwt om een wereldwijde oplossing. Greenpeace eisen een ambitieus internationaal verdrag dat de productie en het gebruik van plastic beperkt. Dat zou een enorme stap zijn naar een plasticvrije toekomst. DESCRIPTION:The fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-5) to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution\, including in the marine environment (INC-5)\, is scheduled to take place from 25 November to 1 December 2024 at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center in Busan\, Republic of Korea. \nIn March 2022\, at the resumed fifth session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-5.2)\, a historic resolution was adopted to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution\, including in the marine environment. The UNEA resolution (5/14) requested the Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) to convene an Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) to develop “the instrument\,” which is to be based on a comprehensive approach that addresses the full life cycle of plastic\, including its production\, design\, and disposal. The INC began its work in the second half of 2022. It has since convened its first session (INC-1) in Punta del Este\, Uruguay (November–December 2022); second session (INC-2) in Paris\, France (May–June 2023); third session (INC-3) in Nairobi\, Kenya (November 2023); and fourth session (INC-4) in Ottawa\, Canada (April 2024). The fifth session has been held in parts: Busan\, Republic of Korea (INC-5.1\, November–December 2024) and Geneva\, Switzerland (INC-5.2\, August 2025). The third part (INC-5.3) is scheduled for 7 February 2026 at the Geneva International Conference Centre (CICG). Following the resignation of the former INC Chair\, the Bureau of the INC at its meeting held on 30 October 2025 decided that INC-5.3 is a one-day resumed session for organizational and administrative purposes with the focus on election officers including for the position of Chair. De beginmuziek is een bewerking van Vivaldi’s “Piccolo Concerto in C major” (RV 443). \nDoor de toename van CO2 in de lucht neemt de voedingswaarde van gewassen af. Zo bevatten de gewassen minder zink\, eiwitten en ijzer en neemt het aantal calorieën toe. Met z’n ondeugende blik heeft de wasbeer een enorm hoog knuffelgehalte. Maar deze van oorsprong Noord-Amerikaanse soort heeft iets te veel naar z’n zin in ons land. Waarom gebruiken we nog altijd proefdieren in de wetenschap? Maar er zijn ook uitdagingen: onze afvalproductie stijgt\, veel mensen ervaren wateroverlast en 1 op de 10 Amsterdammers heeft geen geld voor gezond en duurzaam eten. Elk jaar onderzoekt De Gezonde Stad de voortgang van de duurzame ontwikkeling in Amsterdam. Dit doen ze aan de hand van zes thema’s: voedsel\, groen & water\, energie & klimaat\, lucht & mobiliteit en circulariteit. Samen met onderzoeksbureau Motivaction peilen ze via een enquête hoe Amsterdammers over deze thema’s denken. Ze brengen de huidige stand van zaken in kaart en kijken wat er de komende jaren moet gebeuren. De beginmuziek is een bewerking van Vivaldi’s “Piccolo Concerto in C major” (RV 443). \nRechtszaak heeft een betere bescherming van Natura 2000-gebieden op de Noordzee tegen schadelijke activiteiten afgedwongen. We starten met het volgen van een blauwe reigerkolonie in het Amsterdamse bos. Deze wereldberoemde fossielen\, ontdekt door de Nederlander Eugène Dubois\, zijn recent teruggegeven aan Indonesië. Binnenkort volgen ook zo’n dertigduizend andere fossielen die de Nederlander verzamelde op Java en Sumatra.
