DESCRIPTION:The project ‘Not on our border watch’ is initiated by law firm Prakken d’Oliviera Human Rights Lawyers\, the Dutch Council for Refugees the campaign agency BKB and Sea Watch Legal Aid. \nNot on our border watch is holding the European Union accountable for illegal pushbacks and demand a change in this system of violation and oppression. As European citizens\, Not on our border watch demands that this system in which fundamental rights are ignored be changed. Every week men\, women\, and children fleeing from wars and violence are illegally pushed back from Europe’s borders by Frontex\, the border agency of the European Union. Over 2\,000 people have lost their lives\, others have been assaulted\, abused and mistreated. Frontex is actively destroying the fundamental principles on which the European Union is built. Funded by the EU means funded by us\, European taxpayers. Therefore\, Not on our border watch asks Europe to explain why a European organization is violating human rights at our borders? DESCRIPTION:Europe supports\, finances and is directly involved in clandestine operations in North African countries to dump tens of thousands of Black people in the desert or remote areas each year to prevent them from coming to the EU. \nFunds for these desert dumps have been paid under the guise of “migration management” with the EU claiming that the money doesn’t support human rights abuses against sub-Saharan African communities in North Africa. Brussels claims publicly that it closely monitors how this money is spent.
