Nu probeert China te verbergen dat ze bij een miljoen kinderen de Tibetaanse cultuur uitwissen. Tijd dat wij er een stokje voor steken. Met de hulp van moedige Tibetaanse experts en leerkrachten hebben journalisten het schandaal onthuld. Een VN-onderzoek zou de ware toedracht van de Chineses indoctrinatiescholen kunnen blootleggen. Dit vraagt om lef en samenwerking in de nieuwe alliantie Amsterdam Ademt: een krachtig en invloedrijk netwerk van Amsterdamse organisaties en bedrijven die zich tot doel hebben gesteld om nicotinegebruik een halt toe te roepen. De ambitie: kinderen geboren vanaf 2022 groeien op zonder blootstelling aan nicotine. In 2040\, als zij 18 zijn\, is Amsterdam nicotinevrij. Grote kans dat D66 zometeen migratiebeleid uit gaat voeren van de extreemrechtse Faber. Want terwijl D66 zich uitspreekt tegen haar Asielwet\, kan deze rekenen op steun van coalitiegenoten CDA en VVD. Here to Support en DeGoedeZaak vinden dat er alles aan gedaan moet worden om dit tegen te houden\, en nu ligt de bal bij Rob. Binnenkort zal ook de Eerste Kamer over de Asielwet stemmen. Dit pakket aan wetten is onmenselijk en zal mensen zonder papieren strafbaar maken\, terwijl: geen mens is illegaal! D66\, jullie stemmers hebben niet gestemd voor strafbaarstelling illegaal verblijf en ook in de Tweede Kamer spreken jullie je uit tegen de invoering van de asielwet. De Asielwet is een pakket maatregelen\, waaronder strafbaarstelling van illegaal verblijf\, wat volgens de wetgever de asielketen moet ontlasten\, maar volgens experts het tegenovergestelde zal doen. De architect van de asielwet is Marjolein Faber\, van de PVV. Met andere woorden: D66 gaat zo meteen een migratiebeleid uitvoeren van de extreemrechtse Faber. Waar ligt jullie morele grens? D66\, maak hier een breekpunt van. En als jullie het nu niet doen\, gaat er een moment komen dat het kabinet toch wederom valt op dit thema. Want hoe zien jullie dit voor je? Gaat D66 zo meteen de erfenis van Faber uitvoeren? Gaan jullie actief achter mensen zonder papieren aan en ze in detentie stoppen? Gaan jullie afgewezen LHBTQI+ asielzoekers naar Uganda sturen om daar hun proces af te wachten? Gaan jullie Vluchtelingenwerk weren uit alle COA locaties? Wetende dat hiermee heel veel mensen onterecht afgewezen gaan worden? Gaan jullie gezinshereniging beperken? Dit zijn allemaal maatregelen die gemaakt zijn uit lucht en helemaal niks te maken hebben met goed asielbeleid. Het zijn de maatregelen die zijn gemaakt vanuit xenofobisch gedachtegoed. En dat weten jullie. Het is geen excuus dat jullie hebben tegen deze wet hebben gestemd in de Tweede Kamer. Want met het vormen van een kabinet met CDA en VVD\, zijn jullie medeplichtig aan deze wetten en moeten jullie dit uitvoeren. Dus\, D66\, laat zien dat je dapper genoeg bent om júist nu op te staan voor mensen zonder papieren\, voor mensen die asiel aanvragen. This cumulative factual matrix reveals the intent of the Rapid Support Forces to destroy the Zaghawa and Fur communities in whole or in part. The conduct in El-Fasher is an aggravation of earlier patterns of mirror attacks against other non-Arab communities elsewhere in Sudan\, but on a far more lethal scale. Accountability of perpetrators\, including those who facilitate\, aid or abet these crimes\, remains imperative. Ideal topics for teaching students about the need for social justice include (but are not limited to) childhood poverty\, global citizenship\, human rights\, and sustainable development. A series of lessons are available by country with the United Nations and other programs. Oxfam’s food for thought power point which shows students the global food system that then has the opportunity for students to share their thoughts and experiences. The lesson plans and collections available are for students of all ages. \nThe ILO unanimously adopted the ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization on 10 June 2008. This is the third major statement of principles and policies adopted by the International Labour Conference since the ILO’s Constitution of 1919. It builds on the Philadelphia Declaration of 1944 and the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work of 1998. The 2008 Declaration expresses the contemporary vision of the ILO’s mandate in the era of globalization. This landmark Declaration is a powerful reaffirmation of ILO values. It is the outcome of tripartite consultations that started in the wake of the Report of the World Commission on the Social Dimension of Globalization. By adopting this text\, the representatives of governments\, employers’ and workers’ organizations from 182 member States emphasize the key role of our tripartite Organization in helping to achieve progress and social justice in the context of globalization. Together\, they commit to enhance the ILO’s capacity to advance these goals\, through the Decent Work Agenda. In total\, 80\,865 pushbacks were recorded. Overall\, the normalization of pushbacks persists\, requiring stronger enforcement and greater accountability from both Member States and EU institutions. At the same time\, 2025 has witnessed a trend towards externalization of border management. The EU finances third countries to prevent people seeking protection to reach EU borders\, resulting in offshoring human rights violations. The result is an increase in pullbacks and a decrease in pushbacks on certain routes. In 2025\, the Libyan coast guard\, financially and logistically supported by the EU\, prevented 27\,116 people from reaching EU borders. Poland pushed back 14\,754 asylum seekers\, followed by Bulgaria whose authorities have executed 13\,568 pushbacks. DESCRIPTION:At a time when armed conflict has reached historic levels around the world\, journalist killings also reached an all-time high primarily due to the actions of one government: Israel was responsible for two-thirds of all journalist and media worker killings in 2025\, driving the total number killed worldwide last year to a record 129 — the highest ever number documented by the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) since the organization started keeping records more than three decades ago.\, according to the report ‘Record 129 press members killed in 2025; Israel responsible for 2/3 of deaths‘. \nThis marks back-to-back record years for press fatalities due to Israel’s continued and unprecedented targeting of journalists and media workers. More than 60% of the 86 members of the press killed by Israeli fire in 2025 were Palestinians reporting from Gaza\, where human rights groups and U.N. experts agree a genocide is taking place. Over three-quarters of all press deaths in 2025 were in conflict settings. While the number of journalists and media workers killed in Ukraine and Sudan increased slightly in 2025 compared to the previous year\, to four and nine deaths in each country respectively\, the numbers were still very low compared to Israel\, which remains a significant exception. The rising number of journalist deaths globally is fueled by a persistent culture of impunity for attacks on the press: Very few transparent investigations have been conducted into the 47 cases* of targeted killings (classified as “Murder” in CPJ’s longstanding methodology) documented by CPJ in 2025 — the highest number of journalists deliberately killed for their work in the past decade — and no one has been held accountable in any of the cases. These killings of journalists violate international humanitarian law\, which stipulates that journalists are civilians and should never be deliberately targeted. \nThe continued failure of government leaders to protect the press or hold their attackers to account also lays the groundwork for more killings\, including in countries not at war. Journalists were killed in Mexico\, India\, and the Philippines in 2025\, all countries that have persistently failed to secure justice for journalists’ murders. DESCRIPTION:Zero Discrimination Day is an annual day celebrated by the United Nations (UN) and other international organisations\, the day aims to promote equality before the law and in practice throughout all of the member countries of the UN. \nThe day was first celebrated on March 1\, 2014\, and was launched by UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé on 27 February of that year with a major event in Beijing. In February 2017\, UNAIDS called on people to “make some noise around zero discrimination\, to speak up and prevent discrimination from standing in the way of achieving ambitions\, goals and dreams.” The day is particularly noted by organisations like UNAIDS that combat discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS. “HIV related stigma and discrimination is pervasive and exists in almost every part of the world including our Liberia”\, according to Dr. Ivan F. Camanor\, Chairman of the National AIDS Commission of Liberia. The UN Development Programme also paid tribute in 2017 to LGBTI people with HIV/AIDS who face discrimination. Campaigners in India have used this day to speak out against laws making discrimination against the LGBTI community more likely\, especially during the previous campaign to repeal the law (Indian Penal Code\, s377) that used to criminalise homosexuality in that country\, before that law was overturned by the Indian Supreme Court in September 2018. In 2015\, Armenian Americans in California held a ‘die-in’ on Zero Discrimination Day to remember the victims of the Armenian Genocide. \nIn 2026 is the theme ‘People first‘. \nLinks:\nZero Discrimination Day

DESCRIPTION:Extinction Rebellion lijmt 35 Amsterdamse middelbare scholen binnen ringweg A10 dicht\, oproep aan  kabinet Jetten: “Geef onze tieners een reden om naar school te gaan!” \nIn de nacht van 4 op 5 maart 2026 hebben rebellen van Extinction Rebellion de deuren van zo’n 35 Amsterdamse middelbare scholen binnen de ring dichtgelijmd\, waardoor de scholen ontoegankelijk zijn. Ook gebruikten zij kettingen om de schoolhekken af te sluiten. Bij iedere school lieten ze een boodschap achter: “Het is 2026\, klimaatdoelen worden niet gehaald en in de kerndoelen voor het onderwijs komt de urgentie van de klimaat- en ecologische crisis niet naar voren. We stevenen af op een catastrofe. Nederland\, kom in opstand! Geef onze tieners een reden om naar school te gaan!” Volgens Unicef misten in 2024 tenminste 242 miljoen kinderen in 85 landen onderwijs door hittegolven\, stormen\, overstromingen en droogtes veroorzaakt door de klimaatcrisis. De Wereldbank kwam\, ook in 2024\, tot vergelijkbare conclusies. Zuid-Azië werd het zwaarst getroffen: 128 miljoen kinderen kregen te maken met schoolstoringen. In Europa ging het om ongeveer een miljoen kinderen. Naast deze verstoringen zijn er miljoenen kinderen die helemaal geen onderwijs krijgen. Eis actie van Jetten!’ gestart\, daarmee vragen zij aandacht voor het lot van de Palestijnse gevangenen en eisen actie van de Nederlandse regering. \nIsraël houdt bijna 10.000 Palestijnen gevangen in een netwerk van martelkampen: gevangenen worden uitgehongerd\, geslagen\, verkracht met voorwerpen of door honden en medische zorg wordt onthouden wat leidt tot amputaties en soms de dood. Dit zijn geen incidenten maar is systematisch\, georganiseerd beleid. Gevangenissen staan onder leiding van de Israëlische minister Ben-Gvir. En zijn nieuwste plan\, het executeren van Palestijnse gevangenen\, staat op het punt om beleid te worden. Israël schendt het anti-martelverdrag. De vorige regering wist dit\, maar weigerde in actie te komen. Het nieuwe kabinet-Jetten schrijft in het regeerakkoord: ‘Nederland heeft de verantwoordelijkheid om het internationaal recht actief te bevorderen.’ Dat kan maar één ding betekenen: Israël moet aangepakt worden tot ze haar martelbeleid stopt\, en alle verantwoordelijken moeten worden vervolgd. Stop het wegkijken. DESCRIPTION:Het is duidelijk: D66\, CDA en VVD gaan de zorg afbreken: meer dan 10 miljard euro bezuinigen op zorg en het verhogen van het eigen risico naar 520 euro zal enorme gevolgen hebben voor ouderen\, chronisch zieken\, gehandicapten\, de GGZ-zorg\, de kraamzorg en voor iedereen die zorg nodig heeft of zorgverlener is. \nDaarom moeten we ons laten horen. Voor een Nationaal ZorgFonds zonder eigen risico zodat goede en betaalbare zorg voor iedereen toegankelijk is. SP\, Dokters van de Wereld\, Recht op GGZ\, het Seniorennetwerk Nederland\, en vakbonden FNV\, CNV en Nu91 organiseren dinsdag 10 maart 2026 de Red de Zorg actie tegenover de Tweede Kamer. Ook zorgverleners en patiënten spreken op de actie. Op die dag wordt namelijk gestemd over voorstellen om het eigen risico van tafel te halen\, om de markt uit de zorg te halen en om de bezuinigingen de zorg te stoppen. DESCRIPTION:Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) is an annual series of university lectures and rallies held in February or March. According to the organization. \nIAW is a tool for mobilizing grassroots support on the global level for the Palestinian liberation struggle against Israel’s decades-long regime of settler colonialism and apartheid.
