That’s why we’re asking Microsoft to say if they’re going to use our personal data to train its AI. When Zoom recently looked like they were making similar changes to their Terms of Service\, they faced intense public pressure and backtracked. It’s a world where our private conversations are used in a way that we’ve never even considered — let alone consented to. Developing AI has immense potential\, but it cannot come at the cost of our privacy. Right now\, companies are testing our boundaries when it comes to personal data and AI. Mozilla is actively advocating for legislation to protect your privacy from companies’ insatiable appetite for data. Until then\, we need to make sure that big companies don’t create precedents by being purposefully vague about what they can do with your data.
