DESCRIPTION:Op 4 november 1994 werd vanuit podium Simplon in Groningen de allereerste live stream ter wereld geproduceerd. \nPas 11 jaar later werd YouTube opgericht. De eerste uitzending was een kleine maar belangrijke bijdrage aan de revolutie van televisie en online video: ineens kan iedereen een omroep worden. Geluid kon nog niet worden toegevoegd aan de stream. En veel meer dan twee frames per seconde werden er niet verstuurd. Het 28k8 modem kon niet meer aan. Niettemin is het voor zover bekend de eerste videostream die via internet werd uitgezonden. Hoe de opname via een telefoonlijn\, met plakband aan het plafond geplakt\, op internet kwam vertelt een van de initiatiefnemers van destijds Stef van der Ziel in de documentaire Ready Set Rock ’n Roll. SUMMARY:Grachtenfestival / Prinsengrachtconcert 2025
DESCRIPTION:Het Grachtenfestival is een tiendaags-festival in Amsterdam\, verschillende locaties in de stad zijn decor van concerten – van klassieke muziek tot jazz naar muziek uit andere culturen. \nHet festival is in de loop der jaren uitgegroeid tot een tiendaags festival\, met meer dan 100 concerten op vele tientallen verschillende locaties\, in verschillende delen van Amsterdam zoals het Centrum\, Noord\, het IJ\, de Zuidas en soms ook buiten Amsterdam. Het festival heeft zich ontwikkeld tot een van de belangrijkste podia voor jong talent op het gebied van klassieke muziek en jazz muziek. Jong talent krijgt de kans zich op een passend podium te presenteren: in een huis-\, tuin- of dakterrasconcert\, in een concertzaal of op een openluchtpodium. Musici treden vaak een aantal jaar achter elkaar op tijdens het Grachtenfestival\, en kunnen hun eigen stijl verder ontwikkelen. Naast concerten voor het algemene publiek\, zijn er ook concerten voor de jeugd (van baby’s en peuters tot tieners). Voor de allerkleinsten zijn er de baby-\, peuter- en dreumesconcerten. Voor de wat oudere kinderen zijn er workshops of speciale kindervoorstellingen. Tijdens het Grachtenfestival vindt het Prinsengrachtconcert plaats\, een klassiek muziekconcert dat jaarlijks gehouden wordt op de Prinsengracht in Amsterdam. Het concert vindt in de open lucht plaats op een ponton voor Hotel Pulitzer\, en vindt plaats in de zomer. Het concert is gratis toegankelijk en de gracht ligt dan vol boten met publiek. Het Prinsengrachtconcert vindt plaats tijdens het Grachtenfestival maar wordt onafhankelijk daarvan georganiseerd en geproduceerd door de Stichting Prinsengrachtconcert. Het concert wordt traditioneel afgesloten met een versie van Aan de Amsterdamse grachten. Het concert wordt live uitgezonden door AVROTROS. Voorafgaand aan het Prinsengrachtconcert vindt het Kinderprinsengrachtconcert plaats. Bij dit concert treden drie jonge klassieke talenten op. Het concert vindt plaats van 18:30 uur tot 19:00 uur en wordt rechtstreeks uitgezonden op NPO 3. DESCRIPTION:Zwarte Cross is het grootste betaalde muziekfestival van Nederland en de grootste motorcross ter wereld. \nDé Achterhoekse vlag\nHet festival vindt plaats op een terrein van 160 hectare in de gemeente Oost Gelre\, vlak tegen Lichtenvoorde aan\, maar het terrein hoort voornamelijk bij Lievelde en deels bij Vragender. Er zijn tientallen podia waarop zo’n 250 bands en 1000 theaterartiesten optredens verzorgen. De organisatie ervan was lange tijd indirect in handen van rockband Jovink en de Voederbietels. \nIn mei 2025 werd bekend dat eind 2024 het bedrijf Superstruct Entertainment\, dat eigenaar is van tientallen festivals waaronder Zwarte Cross\, eind 2024 was opgekocht door het Amerikaanse bedrijf Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR). Dat is omstreden\, omdat het onder andere investeert in de wapenindustrie en Israëlische bedrijven die actief zijn op de Westelijke Jordaanoever\, specifiek het gebied dat door Israël wordt bezet alsmede fossiele brandstoffen zoals een aardgaspijplijn in Canada\, milieuclubs trokken al eerder aan de bel omtrent “vervuilende praktijken”. In 2005\, “The Sweet Adelines International” have founded this cheery holiday on their 60th anniversary. Barbershop vocal harmony\, as codified during the barbershop revival era (1930s–present)\, is a style of a cappella close harmony\, or unaccompanied vocal music\, characterized by consonant four-part chords for every melody note in a primarily homorhythmic texture. Each of the four parts has its own role: generally\, the lead sings the melody\, the tenor harmonizes above the melody\, the bass sings the lowest harmonizing notes\, and the baritone completes the chord\, usually below the lead. The melody is not usually sung by the tenor or baritone\, except for an infrequent note or two to avoid awkward voice leading\, in tags or codas\, or when some appropriate embellishment can be created. One characteristic feature of barbershop harmony is the use of what is known as “snakes” and “swipes”. This is when a chord is altered by a change in one or more non-melodic voices. Occasional passages may be sung by fewer than four voice parts. \nBarbershop music is generally performed by either a barbershop quartet\, a group of four singers with one on each vocal part\, or a barbershop chorus\, which closely resembles a choir with the notable exception of the genre of music. According to the Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS)\, “Barbershop music features songs with understandable lyrics and easily singable melodies\, whose tones clearly define a tonal center and imply major and minor chords and barbershop (dominant and secondary dominant) seventh chords that resolve primarily around the circle of fifths\, while making frequent use of other resolutions.” Slower barbershop songs\, especially ballads\, often eschew a continuous beat\, and notes are often held (or sped up) ad libitum. Except for the bass\, the voice parts in barbershop singing do not correspond closely to their classical music counterparts; the tenor range and tessitura are similar to those of the classical countertenor\, the baritone resembles the Heldentenor or lyric baritone in range and a tenor in tessitura\, and the lead generally corresponds to the tenor of classical repertoire\, with some singers possessing a tessitura more similar to that of a high baritone.
